A Remarkable Podcast Episode.
To @Merlyn and @BobJacobsen. What a remarkable episode of Floss Weekly.
As I sweated it out at the gym today I flicked on episode 117 of the great Floss Weekly podcast. And by god did that ruin my workout.
At first I was intrigued by the open source model railway software Randal Schwartz and Bob Jacobsen were chatting about. I thought to myself “what an interesting project”. And how did Randal find someone so unique – a physics professor with such a down to earth hobby – taken to the extreme. Then the topic turned.
It was at this stage that I had to stop the treadmill and sit down.
The story that evolved from this point became the most remarkable podcast episode I’d ever listened to.
I sat in the gym for the rest of the hour long saga – just absorbed by the conversation. God knows what the other gym folk were thinking.

I would like to say thanks to Randal for such an amazing episode of Floss Weekly (he ran this one solo too) and for bringing to us such an amazing man in Bob Jacobsen.
