Real Fakes
With the power of social media rising, like the Twitters of the world, satirical and subversive characters have emerged posing as powerful pop-culture figures. Be they poets, politicians, programmers, or preachers – no-one is safe.
Often called The Real Such and Such or Fake What’s His name, they provide a great insight into the mindset of that person’s friends and foes.
So in the spirit of good fun, frivolity and fury (if you’re that way inclined) help us out here – send us your real/fake people.
They’re most likely going to be from Twitterdom so DM us @GITweekly. That’s Twitter speak apparently.
Here some we prepared earlier:
- Fake John Howard (Former Prime Minister of Australia).
- Fake Tony Abbott (Leader of the Opposition; Liberal Party leader, Australia).
- Fake Steve Fielding (Family First Senator).
- Fake Stephen Conroy (Australian Communications minister; The man behind Australia’s propose internet censorship).
- Fake Julia Gillard (Australian Prime Minister).
